Nugget: “The man who gets the most satisfactory results is not always the man with the most brilliant single mind, but rather the man who can best coordinate the brains and talents of his associates.”~ W. Alton Jones
Reflection drill: The idea is to disrupt the status quo of the problem. As strange as it may sound, you can get comfortable with your problems. When you attempt a new, unorthodox approach, you have a better chance of finding a new, effective solution.
Why it matters: Search beyond acceptable; find the BEST alternatives.
It just may be that how you see the problem is the problem. Apply a creative approach: modify, maximize, minimize, substitute, rearrange, combine, reapply, synergize, fantasize.
Thinking drill:
What’s one problem you’ve been living with for just too long? Why?
What can you do to disrupt the standard way you see your current problem?
Who can provide additional creative approaches to your perception of a current problem?
What’s your take away?
